Hervey Bay

is a little city on the bank of the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, Australia.

The city is arranged roughly 290 kilometers  or 3½ hours' parkway drive north of the state capital, Brisbane. It is situated on the sound of a similar name open to the Coral Sea between the Queensland central area and close by Fraser Island.   

The nearby economy depends on the travel industry which is based fundamentally around whale watching in Platypus Bay toward the north, ship admittance to Fraser Island, available sporting fishing and drifting and the normal north-bound, quiet sea shores with wide lacking foreshore zones.

In October 2019, Hervey Bay was named the First Whale Heritage Site on the planet by the World Cetacean Alliance, for its obligation to, and practices of supportable whale and dolphin watching.
